在Artois champions官網看到的訪問內容 順便貼過來和大家分享 Tipsarevic Answers Your Questions As Serbian star Janko Tipsarevic prepares to face good friend and countryman Novak Djokovic in the third round of The Artois Championships, he took some time out to answer your questions at The Queen's Club, giving us his thoughts on philosophy, playing on grass and what's happened to his piercings... First of all, thanks for joining us Janko. Can you tell us how much you are looking forward to playing against Novak at The Artois Championships? JT: I actually really am. First of all, I’m going out there to try and win, but I’m also going out there to have fun. Novak is a really close friend of mine, we’ve had practise matches a number of times, but this is going to be completely different than all the other times. We’re going to feel a little bit of pressure, probably him a little bit more because he’s expected to win, but as you know, he handles the pressure really well, so I can’t count on that. I have to be aggressive, it’s the only way to beat him because if he continues to play from the spot, three or four balls, you are three or four metres away from the court and you lose the match definitely. Has your interest in literary philosophy (Dostoevsky etc) influenced your tennis game in any way? Does it help you focus on court or is it just something you’re intrigued by when you’re not playing tennis? Louise Wainwright JT: It actually doesn’t help my in my behaviour on the court. The main reason I decided to read and educate myself in this direction is that I believe it will give me another perspective in looking into life and making me a bigger and better person, so it has nothing to do with tennis. I would like to ask you a question about Dostoevsky's The Idiot. What are the feelings that this book inspires within you, making you relate to the novel? Jessica, Australia JT: I’m sorry, but I don’t like to go really deep into the tattoos that I have, but I read the book about four times and I made a tattoo of the book on my arm. The sentence which I made is the actual opposite of the way it should be because of the irony in the book, that’s what I want to say. Which part of your game you think needs most improvement to get you into the Top 10? Vladan Stankovic JT: Definitely I have to improve mentally. I improved myself, and I’ve devoted myself to tennis from this year 110%, and until now it’s paying off. Not unbelievably fast, but it is. I definitely have to improve my approach to the net. I have good enough baseline and groundstrokes to go more often to the net, especially on this surface. Can you tell me where all of your piercings have gone? Bec Crolla JT: I grew up a little bit, but mainly because of the influence of my girlfriend. I was wondering if Serbia had any grass courts since your best results have come on grass and Wimbledon? Thomas JT: Apart from clay courts, we have six carpet courts. 71% of the world’s tennis is played on hard courts or grass courts apart from clay. We have the No.1 Ana Ivanovic, No. 2 Jankovic, No. 3 Djokovic, Nenad, myself some other guys, yet we still don’t have one hard court in the country. Ten million people, not too big, bit’s big enough, but not one hard court. The tennis federation is making a facility which should be ready next year, so we’ll see what happens. I am just starting to play tennis. What is your best advice for an amateur player? Hannah Peterson JT: For an up and coming kid, it’s difficult to say something because in the beginning all the kids are playing because of love. But after that they meet challenges in and out of their head. Sometimes you don’t feel like practising. This sport is really difficult. If you’re at the top, life can be really, really nice. But if you’re not, it’s really difficult, it’s not easy. You’re away from home, away from your family, the ones you love. I would say that if you’re a kid who’s grown up, can make his own decisions, then devote yourself 100% as soon as possible. If you could spend the weekend with the celebrity of your dreams who would it be? David Pratt JT: Al Pacino definitely. Can I say a dead one? Friedrich Nietzsche. This guy, I cannot say he’s my idol, I’m completely against idols in the head, but I would like to spend a weekend with this guy, definitely. Who is your closest friend on Tour? Nirali JT: Nenad Zimonjic, he’s my closest friend from the Serbian guys. Apart from him, Novak and Victor Troicki. Which has been the most satisfying match of your career so far, and why? Laura Stone JT: Probably the one, last year when I won at Wimbledon 8-6 in fifth set against Fernando Gonzalez. One of my dreams as a kid was to win a match on Centre Court at Wimbledon. It wasn’t really made like the Centre Court because of the renovations, but it was still Centre Court. Why do you think Serbian tennis is so strong at the moment? Is it that the players are very self motivated and driven or is the Serbian system one that we here in G.B. Could learn a lot from? Ian McGee, Edinburgh. JT: Now it’s strong because the players who play are devoted to the sport 100%. And all of them have goals that they need to achieve. Ana achieved two goals last week, being NO. 1 and winning a Grand Slam. We’re all still young – I’m the oldest and I’m 23, 24 – and we’re still really hungry. But as for an explanation as to how this became, then there is no explanation. I’ve said this a lot of times, we had Milosivic for a number of years, we had wars, the country was falling apart, not even talking about sports or tennis. The only people who were investing and believing in kids were the parents, and they’re the people we should be really thankful most for mainly. http://www.artoischampionships.com/1/news/2008/tipsarevic.asp -- " what we are never changes; who we are never stops changing."
