Began playing tennis at age 4 by hiding in the car when her older sister went
to tennis class and then sneaking into the class...Coached by Gabe Jaramillo;
former coached by Harold Solomon and first coach Goran Prpic who was ranked
15th in the world...Plays a very aggressive game from the baseline and serves
in excess of 100 mile per hour...Mother, Angelka, used to be a supermarket
owner; older sister, Ana, is a law student and travels with Mirjana full
time; younger sister Ivana graduated from high school with honors in 2001 and
will study to become a sports agent; younger brothers Miro and Ivan are in
high school and also play tennis...Moved to the United States in July 1998,
residing in Florida...Is currently working on an autobiography and
painting...Plans to pursue a singing career after tennis (is looking to
attend a conservatory of music)...Big New York Yankees fan...Appreciates the
work of Michaelangelo...Loves visiting the Vatican...Enjoys participating in
