02/16/2003. Lazio coach Roberto Mancini didn't hide his disappointment for
the 2-2 draw against Milan in the Sunday night match of the Serie A 21st
round.
The Biancocelesti took a deserved 2-0 lead in the first half, but a furious
reaction allowed Milan to grab an unexpected draw in the second part of the
match.
"We were really great in the first half" Mancini said, "but in the second
we gave Milan too much room. Lazio showed once again to be one of the best
teams of the league, but I'm quite disappointed because we wasted a very
good chance, just like we did against Inter".
On his part, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is quite satisfied with the
performance of his team. "In the first half we didn't manage to do what we
had planned during the week, and I must say Lazio played really well.
However, in the second part of the match we reacted superbly, and in the end
we could even have won".
