The adult liver is the largest organ and plays a major
role in metabolism and has several functions in the body,
including detoxification, plasma protein synthesis and so on.
The liver consists several types cells that including hepatocytes,
Kupffer cells, hepatic stellate cells, sinusoidal endothelial cells,
and blood cells. On the other hand, fetal liver is a hematopoietic
tissue and acquires metabolic ability with decreasing proliferation,
becomes a metabolic organ after birth. This dramatic change
triggered by several signal transduction and carrier on specific
transcriptional factors. However, the mechanisms of the regulation
does not understanding very well. Thus, to understand the regulatory
of gene transcription during liver development may provide a good
way to discover a new treatment for liver diseases.
