alcoa deal announced 1 April 2008 sigur rós will be lending their name to a newly built aluminium smelter in eastern iceland. the band have agreed a deal with alcoa, the world’s largest aluminium manufacturer, for the huge smelter - located in the small town of seyðisfjörður - to be named after the band. artwork from all four albums will be reproduced on the outside of the building and employees inside will enjoy an assortment of sigur ros tracks played during the PA system while they work. whilst representing somewhat of a turnaround from the band, who have vociferously opposed similar smelters in the past, it’s believed that the size of the deal made it too good to turn down. more information on this will follow. from 官網 http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk/news/index.php -- ........... 愚人節嗎XD -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 118.168.86.225
