Singapore Pools to come under Tote Board
From 1 May 2004, Singapore Pools (Private) Limited (SPPL) will be owned
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
by the Singapore Totalisator Board (Tote Board). In line with the transfer of
ownership to the Tote Board, SPPL will manage 4-D, TOTO, SINGAPORE SWEEP, and
football betting, and Singapore Turf Club (STC) will operate horse-racing and
totalisator business. STC will continue to manage their off-course betting
centres and Asia Chambers branch. All other STC outlets will be managed
by SPPL.
