Rivers: Collins should be next Team USA coach

Coach Mike Krzyzewski helped Team USA beat Spain in the gold
medal game on Sunday then reiterated that he would not be back
as the head man on the bench for the 2016 games in Rio.
Naturally, minutes later began the speculation as to Coach K's
replacement.
在K教練在倫敦奧運拿到第二個奧運金牌的任務完成之後決定退休時，
他的繼任人選的討論在此時已經喧囂塵上。
Doc Rivers, who has analyzed the Olympic basketball games for
NBC this summer, said that anyone who was asked to take over
would say yes -- including him.
He wouldn't say that he's the best man for the job, though.
Instead, Rivers thought another member of NBC's broadcast team
would be more suited for the position: Doug Collins.
這次奧運加入 NBC 解說團隊的賽爾提克總教練 Doc Rivers 說，
如果美國籃協主席 Colengelo 不管徵詢誰的意見，
很可能都會得到正面的答覆，包括他本人在內都不排斥。
但是，當問到誰最適合這個職位的時候，
Doc Rivers 當場陷害了他在 NBC 的同事，
同樣在這次奧運擔任解說的 Doug Collins。
"And there's a reason," Rivers said. " '72."
Collins, who served as color analyst for NBC in London, was on
Team USA in 1972 when a controversial ending robbed the
Americans of the gold medal in Munich. Rivers said that he
thought Collins deserved the job over himself and Spurs coach
Greg Popovich -- two of the likely frontrunners for the job.

Rivers 表示他認為 Doug 的德高望重以及優秀的籃球素養，

Rivers said that if he was selected for the job that he would
work to make sure Collins served as an assistant on the team's
staff.
Rivers 說如果他獲選為下屆主教練一職的話，
那他會千方百計把 Doug Collins 踢下火坑...不對，是列入他的助理教練團。
