SALT LAKE CITY - The 76ers need a fresh start on their trip west, yet there
seems to be some leftover baggage.

踏上西岸長征之旅，七六人要尋求一個全新的出發點，不過部份球員間的舊心結，似乎
也如影隨形。


Before last night's game against the Utah Jazz, reserve center Marreese
Speights addressed comments teammate Elton Brandmade after the Sixers' last
game, Tuesday's loss at the Washington Wizards, which gave them a 7-21 record.

That night, Brand said: "Certain guys didn't box out, didn't rebound, and
weren't tough. Certain guys got a longer leash than others, so they played
longer and the mistakes were shown."

昨晚對陣猶他爵士的比賽前，替補中鋒Marreese Speights針對隊友Elton Brand在前一
場比賽的賽後發言做出回應。該場比賽，七六人作客華盛頓巫師敗北，戰績跌落至7勝
21敗。

當晚Brand是這麼說的：「有些人不卡位、不搶籃板、不夠強硬。有些人享受比別人更
多的犯錯空間，所以上場時間更久，結果傷害了球隊。」


Although Brand didn't name Speights, it was clear which player he meant,
because Speights had played alongside him for most of the game's decisive
fourth quarter. The Sixers lost, 105-98, allowing 33 points in the final
quarter.

Speights said he heard about Brand's comments because "people called me."

"I was kind of upset because I wouldn't think my teammate would throw me
under the bus like that," Speights said. "I would never say nothing like that
about him. But, hey, he's been in the league longer than me, so I can't say
nothing about it."

Brand is in his 11th NBA season, Speights his second.

儘管Brand並未點名Speights，但言下之意相當清楚，因為該場比賽最關鍵的第四節，
與Brand搭配上場最多的球員就是Speights。七六人以105-98落敗，最後一節被敵隊攻
下33分。

Speights說「有人打電話跟我提起」Brand的賽後發言。

「我有點難過，因為我沒想到隊友會這樣把我當成輸球的戰犯。」Speights說：「我
絕不會這樣說他。不過呢，嘿，他在聯盟的資歷比我長，所以我不能有意見。」

本季是Brand在NBA的第11個年頭，Speights的第2個。


Speights said he had not spoken with Brand about the comments.

"I ain't going to talk to him about it," he said. "He did it, so he can't
really take it back."

Speights說他沒有跟Brand討論過這件事。

「我不會跟他談這個啦。」他說：「他話都說出口了，不能收回。」


Sixers coach Eddie Jordan seemed to think the pair had addressed the
situation.

"It's just something that happened in the game - they talked about it,"
Jordan said. "And Elton is a veteran, and I would think the younger player at
least listened to the vet and talked about it in the locker room or behind
closed doors. Being a young player, I think he's learned that."

Brand is averaging 13.3 points and 7.2 rebounds a game; Speights is averaging
14.1 points and 6.4 rebounds.

達叔似乎認為這兩位球員已經達成共識了。

「只是對比賽的討論啦--他們談過了。」達叔說：「Elton是老鳥了，我想年輕球員
至少會聽聽賢拜的意見，在休息室或私底下做討論。我想他既然資淺，應該懂這個道
理。」

Brand單場平均得13.3分、7.2個籃板，Speights則是14.1分、6.4個籃板。


Brand's comments after the Washington loss came after he had said, somewhat
jokingly after a win over the Boston Celtics, that Speights "never passes."

"They know I'm a good shooter and a good scorer," Speights said about his
teammates. "They make fun of me, but they know I can score the ball, so it's
cool."

早在對巫師隊的比賽前，七六人爆冷擊敗波士頓塞爾提克後，Brand就曾半開玩笑地說
過Speights「都不傳球的」。

談起隊友，Speights說：「他們知道我的手感很好、得分能力也夠。他們可能會開我
的玩笑，但他們知道我能得分，所以沒差啦。」

The Sixers also will play the Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Los
Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets on this trip.

Jordan said he felt no pressure at this point.

"I don't look at pressure," he said. "Every day is a new day, and we're
working hard to improve the things we've been weak at."

七六人此行將面對波特蘭拓荒者、沙加緬度國王、洛杉磯快艇，以及丹佛金塊。

達叔說他現在沒什麼壓力。

「我不會一直去在意壓力，」他說：「每天都是新的一天，我們正在努力改進我們的
缺點。」

Last night, Jordan changed his starting backcourt, moving rookie Jrue Holiday
to the bench in favor of Lou Williams, who was playing in his third game
since returning from a broken jaw. Jordan went with Williams, Willie Green,
Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young, and Samuel Dalembert.

昨晚，達叔更動了後場先發人選，將新秀Jrue Holiday移到板凳，由Lou Williams打
頭陣，這也是他下顎骨裂復原後第三次出賽。達叔的先發五虎將分別是Williams、
Willie Green、Andre Iguodala、Thaddeus Young和Samuel Dalembert。



A.I. still ailing
AI養傷中

Point guard Allen Iverson,battling left-knee arthritis, remained on the
inactive list. He did some pregame shooting and is expected to return to game
action tomorrow against the Trail Blazers.

控衛Allen Iverson因為左膝關節炎未癒，仍列名不出賽名單。他參與了賽前投籃練習
，預計將在明晚對拓荒者的比賽中上場。
