Sixers reportedly interested in Iverson

但是有新消息：
A team official told ESPN.com on Friday that the Sixers did not intend to
pursue Iverson in the wake of a broken jaw that has sidelined starting guard
Lou Williams for eight weeks, preferring to give Williams' minutes to rookie
Jrue Holiday.
這是第一次有聯盟官方人士證實七六人正在追逐 Allen Iverson。
原因大家都知道了。

The Sixers are almost $6.6 million under this season's luxury-tax threshold,
so they can afford to sign Iverson for the rest of the season without any
serious financial consequences.
七六人離豪華稅門檻還有 6.6M 的空間
因此簽下 Iverson 不會多出太多額外的財務負擔
(在 Speights 跟 Willams 雙雙跑去開刀的這當下，保險公司會付一部分，
且沒超過豪華稅門檻的情況下不需要多付錢)

In the Paint: Brown lauds Iverson
Charlotte Bobcats coach Larry Brown has a message for Allen Iverson: Don't
give up.
恩師傳簡訊給 Bubba Chuck: 現在放棄，比賽就結束了。
Brown said yesterday he thinks that the 10-time all-star "still has a passion
to play" and shouldn't retire. An online report this week indicated Iverson
had decided to end his career after receiving little interest from NBA teams.
Coach Brown 認為這個十次全明星"對比賽仍有熱情"，
而且不應該退休。
Brown, who coached Iverson when he was voted league MVP in 2001 while leading
the 76ers to the NBA Finals, said he has been trying to get in touch with him.
"Anybody that knows him understands how much he loves to play," Brown said.
大家都知道某人沒有比賽活不下去。 XD
He added that the 34-year-old Iverson could get opportunities later in the
season.
Brown 繼續補充：他認為季中 AI 就會有機會重回球場。
Brown pointed to Jan. 10, the date contracts no longer are guaranteed for the
season, and the trade deadline a month later, when several teams may reshape
their rosters.
Brown 認為在交易截止日前，很多球隊就會有需求重新整理他們的陣容。
"Some teams might think they aren't as good as they thought," Brown said.
Coach Brown: "他們(那些球隊)到時後會發現他們沒有他們自己想像中這麼好。"
