Sixers Activate Forward Glenn Robinson; Place Guard Willie Green on the Injured
List

Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Billy King announced today
that the 76ers have placed rookie guard Willie Green on the injured list and
have activated forward Glenn Robinson.
Robinson, who has missed 18 games this season (three for an NBA suspension and
15 with a left ankle sprain), was placed on the injured list on Nov. 25. He
has averaged 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in four starts this
season. Acquired by the 76ers from Atlanta on July 23, 2003, in a four-team
trade that also involved New York and Minnesota, Robinson boasts career
averages of 21.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.22 steals per game with three NBA
teams (Milwaukee 1994-95 to 2001-02; Atlanta 2002-03; Philadelphia 2003-04).
Green, who has missed the last three games with a right thumb sprain, injured
his right thumb during practice on Dec. 3 and had successful surgery to repair
a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb on Dec. 5. The
6-foot-4 rookie from Detroit has appeared in 15 games this season, posting
averages of 8.5 minutes and 1.9 points per game. Originally drafted by Seattle
in the second round (41st overall pick) of the 2003 NBA Draft, Green was
acquired by the Sixers on June 26, 2003 for the draft rights to Paccelis
Morlende (50th overall pick of the 2003 Draft) and an undisclosed amount of
cash.
