Immediately after the season, we examined the performance of and provided an
outlook for each member of the Sixers' roster. Since then, the team has been
revamped. So as a result, we begin another player-by-player series on the new
roster. First up, the key to the team's future: Andrew Bynum.

For the first time since the days of Moses Malone, the Sixers have a true
scoring center in 24-year-old Andrew Bynum. 

在這支隊伍第一次迎來Moses Malone之後，
七六人終於再次延攬了一名正統、有得分能力的中鋒入陣，24歲的Andrew Bynum。

To be clear, Malone is a Hall of Famer. Bynum has been an All-Star once in
his young career. Still, Bynum opens a world of offensive opportunities for a
team that struggled to put points on the board a year ago. 

很明顯，Malone早已是名人堂成員。
Bynum在他年輕的職業生涯中才剛進入全明星陣容一次。

儘管如此，Bynum還是給了這支在一年之前在計分版上添上分數相當艱難的隊伍，

The 7-foot center commands a double team in the low post. Since his rookie
season, when he shot 40 percent from the field as an 18-year-old, Bynum has
never shot below 56 percent. 

這個七呎中鋒有在低位吸引包夾的能力。
從他的新人賽季之後（那個賽季他18歲，投籃命中率只有40％），
他的投籃命中率再也沒有低於56％過。

But Bynum wasn’t the focal point of the offense in Los Angeles. The Lakers
were – and still are – Kobe Bryant's team. That didn’t change when Bynum
was selected 10th overall in the 2005 NBA draft.

Last year, when Bynum averaged a career high 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds,
he was the team's second-leading scorer and his 13 field goal attempts per
game were third on the team behind Bryant and Pau Gasol.

他在隊伍中平均得分排名第二。

而且他的出手數每場只有13次，在陣中遠低於Bryant，也低於Pau Gasol。

But now, Bynum is entering new territory as the focal point of an offense. It
is hard to believe it’s been 30 years since a Sixers offense went through
the low post. During the 1982-83 season, Malone, 27 at the time, averaged
team-high 24.5 points and 15.3 rebounds per game, leading the Sixers to their
last NBA championship.

不過現在，Bynum進入了一個新的環境，他也將擔任進攻的核心點。

Again, Bynum is not the same caliber of player Malone was when the Sixers
acquired him from Houston, but Bynum still offers a presence in the post. And
most nights, the opposition will be challenged to conjure up defensive
schemes to slow down what should be a high scoring squad.

而再一次的，Bynum和當時從休士頓來到七六人的Malone，根本不是同一個等級的球員。

但是Bynum還是能在低位帶來破壞力。
而且在大多數比賽的晚上，對面的球隊必須對這一個點採取特殊的對應，

Jason Richardson, Nick Young and Dorell Wright will be salivating at the open
three-point looks they should inherit because of Bynum. The Sixers’
 willingness to make the extra pass should help also. They averaged 22
assists per game last season, 10th in the NBA.

Jason Richardson、Nick Young、Dorell Wright將會因為Bynum在低位的破壞力，
進而獲得很多在外線空檔三分的機會。

七六人樂意去做出導傳找出最好機會的特質同樣也會相得益彰，
他們上一季每場比賽可以傳出22次的助攻，在聯盟中排名第十。

There was a misconception about the Sixers’ three-point shooting last
season. They had the eighth-best three-point percentage (36) but were 24th
out of 30 teams in terms of threes per game, with five. Richardson averaged
1.9 threes while playing in Orlando. Nick Young and Dorrell Wright each
averaged 1.7 per game last season. 

在三分投射的向度上，人們對於七六人常常有某些誤解：

他們有在聯盟中三分命中率排名第八的外線實力（36％），

And keep in mind, the Sixers still have their best deep-shooting threat last
season in Jrue Holiday, who shot 38 percent from behind the arc.

Jrue Holiday，在三分線外投射的命中率達38％。


Locker room real estate 
更衣室真面貌

The fans can't see the layout of a team's locker room on TV but the "who is
where" is always interesting. From the moment Allen Iverson came to the
Sixers in 1996 he had the corner locker farthest from the entrance with a
vacant locker next to him, giving him more space. When Iverson was traded,
Andre Miller inherited that space. He was the leader of the bunch and that
seemed appropriate. Upon Miller's departure, Andre Iguodala earned his
stripes and that corner became his. 

球迷們很難有機會在電視上見識到更衣室裡的真相，
但是"誰的位置在哪裡"總是非常有趣。

當1996年Allen Iverson入隊之後，他的位置是離入口最遠，
在角落的空置置物櫃，讓他有更多個人空間。

在Iverson被交易之後，Andre Miller繼承了那個位置，
他是一群人中的領袖，這種安排似乎是很恰當的。

而在Miller的離開之後，Andre Iguodala提升了自己在隊伍中的地位，
並且這個角落歸屬於他。

A sneak preview to the season ahead has Bynum in that corner. Jason
Richardson will occupy the locker across from Bynum, a coveted space that
belonged to Elton Brand the past four years.

偷偷展望，下一季這個角落的位置將會是Bynum的角落。

Jason Richardson則會占據更衣室中Bynum對面的位置，
一塊大家都想要的空間，在過去四年屬於Elton Brand的地盤。

Thaddeus Young has owned the end locker on the opposite side for five seasons
and now across from him will be Kwame Brown. That fourth end locker was
Samuel Dalembert's during his Sixers tenure and then Tony Battie took it
over. It must have “big man” written on it in invisible ink.

Thaddeus Young在過去五個賽季，擁有的位置是在相反方向的端點，
現在在他對面的人將是Kwame Brown。

倒數第四的置物櫃過去是Samuel Dalembert在七六人時的位置，

Holiday and Evan Turner have been side by side for the past two years and
that will not change. 

Holiday和Evan Turner在過去的兩年的位置都是並排的，而且他們不打算變更地點。
