Wright comes to the Sixers via a three-team trade this summer.
The 26-year-old small forward is an eight-year veteran, who
spent that last two seasons playing for the Golden State
Warriors, starting in all of his 143 games played.

易輾轉登入兄弟友愛之城。這個僅僅26歲卻已經有八年經驗的資深球員

Wright is a prolific three-point shooter. In the 2010-11
season, he led the league in threes made (194) and attempted
(516). His career three-point shooting percentage is .365.
Dorell絕對是一個多產的射手。在2010-11球季他在三分球出手(516)與
命中(194)這兩個排行榜上都拔得聯盟頭籌。他生涯的三分命中率則達
到.365的水準。
In the history of the Sixers’ franchise, only one player has
equaled or surpassed the three-point shooting numbers of
Wright in 2011. That was Kyle Korver, who made 226 of a
possible 558 in the 2004-05 season. Korver’s made threes that
season also led the NBA.
在七六人長久的歷史當中，只有一個球員在單季出手與命中的紀錄上超
越Dorell Wright兩季之前在奧克蘭變出的魔術(按:廢話，三分線是70s
進入80s的產物XD 當然不會有太多人阿)，而這個人是Kyle Korver，他
在04-05曾經出手558個，命中其中的226個，當然這個該死的數字在當
年的NBA當中也是雙雙拔得聯盟頭名。

Wright’s long-range shooting is a known quantity and a
welcomed one, but his role on the third team of his pro career
is an unknown. Will he be the starting small forward or will
he have a role coming off the bench?
Wright能作到的事情與長才就是他的多產的三分，這也是為什麼七六人
這麼努力追求他；但是他在生涯第三個球隊的角色到現在卻仍然不明朗，
到底洛杉磯人(D-Wright出身LA)將會以開季先發小前鋒的身份亮相，還
是會從替補席出發貢獻火力呢？
I believe he will have the latter. Head coach Doug Collins
knows he has three starters in Jrue Holiday, Evan Turner and
Andrew Bynum, leaving two spots up for grabs.
Thaddeus Young and Dorell Wright will both go to training camp
believing they can win the starting small forward position.
不過我相信他有爭取的機會，老頭說過他目前只確定了三個先發人選：
分別是Jrue Holiday、Evan Turner與Andrew Bynum，另外兩個位置直
到當下都還是開放競爭。
而到目前為止Thad跟D-Wright都很有自信他們會搶到剩下兩個席位的其
中一個，而且他們都認為他們會是開季的先發三號。
Neither is the right guy to start for this team. Young as a
starting small forward leaves the perimeter without enough
outside shooting. Wright as that starter leaves the bench with
two backup shooting guards in Jason Richardson and Nick Young.
其實真的要我說，我覺得兩者都不是最佳解。如果Thad以先發三號之姿
上場的話，掩護Drew所需要的外圍火力將會相對不足；而如果讓Dorell
先發的話，那板凳上會出現兩個二號，對抗性與三號位置的深度將會相
對短缺。
Chemistry and combinations will be Collins’ greatest
challenge this October.
總之，對於Doug與他的教練團來說，化學效應的催化，以及整合這支嶄
新的球隊將會是他在十月當中所無可避免，必須面對的巨大挑戰。
On paper in September, starting Jason Richardson gives the
first unit shooting and allows Collins to bring Wright off the
bench at either forward position, depending on matchups.
Wright will get minutes. He has averaged 25 minutes a game for
his career.
經過簡單的設想，如果讓Jason Richardson進入第一陣容，那老頭會在
運用Wright上有更大的靈活度，如果在對位狀況有優勢的情況下Dorell
將可以打兩個前鋒位置。
A year ago, the Sixers had the fourth-highest scoring bench
with 38.8 points per game. Yet, as a team their 92.3 points
per contest ranked 25th out of 30 teams.
Losing Lou Williams, who led the team in scoring last season
with nearly 14.9 points a night, would appear to decimate the
ability of the reserves to put the ball in the basket.
過去的那個球季，七六人有著聯盟得分產量第四高的板凳，但是球隊的
平均得分卻沒有跟這個數字一樣漂亮，僅僅排在倒數第六。
失去了Lou Williams每晚在板凳上貢獻的14.9分，將無可避免的讓七六
人過去兩年引以為傲的板凳產能受損。
That is until one considers Wright averaged 10.3 points a game
in 2011-12, Nick Young averaged 13.2 and Thaddeus Young
averaged 12.8. Depth should indeed be a strength for the
Sixers in the upcoming campaign.
不過當你算上了D-Wright/Nick/Thad為骨幹的板凳的話，他們至少以去
年的水準，三個人去年一場加總可以貢獻36.3分；雖然籃球不是加法，
但是從去年這三位球員都能拿下兩位數的得分這個面相看來，他們都有
能力從板凳出發維持一定水準的進攻火力；如果一切順利的話，新球季
當中我們應該還是能擁有令人稱羨的板凳深度。
