DiLeo right man to replace Thorn as Sixers GM

The Sixers have been very busy this offseason, changing the
look of the team for the better. Still, there remains a major
void which needs to be filled.
毫無疑問，七六人今年夏天非常忙，而且看起來所有的運作與改變有著
明確的方向，而且讓獨立衛隊看起來變得更好。不過有個空缺到現在還
沒有補足，那就是管理職的頭頭：General Manager。
In less than a year, Rod Thorn’s contract will expire and he
will relinquish his role as general manager and become an
advisor to the club, presumably the same way Pat Gillick
helped Ruben Amaro Jr. with the Phillies. Thorn has been the
key catalyst to many of the moves this club made the past
couple of years. It would make sense to me to have that same
philosophy continue with the best in-house candidate
interested in the job and that is senior vice president of
basketball operations Tony Dileo.
Rod Thorn已經離約滿不到一年了，他將會在這個球季結束後離開管理

I’ve known DiLeo for over 20 years since he joined the club
in 1990 as part of the basketball operations department. He
has held virtually every position within the Sixers
organization, including head coach. DiLeo is a quiet,
unassuming man who has been a total team player. Take away his
few public roles as a coach and most Sixers fans probably have
no idea about his years of contribution to the franchise.
DiLeo has seen the Sixers at their best and worst in his 22
years with the franchise.
我跟DiLeo已經有過二十年的交情，從他進入七六人的行政組織後我們
就已經認識了。他事實上一直都在協助球隊支撐各種組織中的不足之處，
包括代打總教練。DiLeo為人謙虛、惜字如金，且能夠在很多方面顧全

This past summer, he was reportedly a finalist for the general
manager job in Portland. It would be a shame if DiLeo had to
leave Philadelphia to fulfill a career dream of running a
franchise. The Sixers are heading in the right direction and
hopefully DiLeo is given the chance to finish the job Thorn
started.
這個夏天，他也曾經是波特蘭拓荒者的呼聲非常高的熱門繼任人選，並
且根據媒體的報導，他確實進入了決選圈。不過我必需要說，如果真的
讓DiLeo為了他得到他長久以來夢想的職位(獨立主導他的球隊)而離開
他心愛的費城，那麼對七六人而言這絕對是一件丟臉的事情。目前的七
六人有著正確且穩健的方向，而且我們很高興看到DiLeo有機會能夠接

The Sixers have been interviewing candidates for several
months and apparently they are in no rush to hire a new GM.
Training camp opens on Oct. 2 and everyone will go about their
business, including Tony Dileo.
七六人在過去幾個月已經面試過多位可能人選，而看起來他們完全不急
著做出任何決定。另外，訓練營將會在10/2正式開訓，而你將會在媒體
日再度看到這群行政團隊孜孜不倦的工作，並也跟媒體分享他們的成功
果實；當然，包括Tony DiLeo在內。

雖然Andre Miller不喜歡他(以教練身份)；
但是如果一個二十年行政職的高階經理人代打總教練半個球季，
能夠獲得32勝27敗，.542的成績，
且第一輪讓該年的東區冠軍輸了兩場，
那我想他應該會是個作什麼像什麼的強大管理人。
如果就一個傳承與不需要任何熟悉就能上手的繼任人選，
那我支持Tony DiLeo。

Definitely one of the all-time under-rated sixers. Glad to see
him finally getting some league wide recognition the last few
years (All-star, All-NBA defense, Team USA). As much as he's
been bashed on these boards over the years I'm sure he'll be
