The Sixers will have many new faces when they convene for
training camp at Saint Joseph’s University on Tuesday
morning. On paper, the talent has been upgraded from a season
ago, when the team advanced to the Eastern Conference
Semifinals before losing in seven games to the Celtics.
在訓練營即將於聖約瑟夫大學開訓的當下，七六人將是近幾年來首次帶
著一大堆新面孔開訓。在帳面上，七六人的天份毫無疑問是比上個球季
末面對綠軍，在ECSF逼入第七戰的時候還要來得充分，
But all the change has created questions. And the sooner these
five questions are answered, the better for the Sixers as they
attempt to win the Atlantic Division and compete with the
Eastern Conference's elite.
但是當你團隊的本質有改變的時候，相關的問題也會跟著出現。而我們
認為這五個問題如果越快解決，對於七六人爭取去年本應該是我們的大
西洋組王座，甚至真正走入東區的新銳豪強之林，將會越有幫助。

1. Is Andrew Bynum healthy, and is he capable of being the
Sixers' No. 1 option?
◆ Drew能不能維持健康？他能不能順利勝任球隊的第一選擇？
Bynum, as was well-documented when he arrived, is in the final
year of his contract. He is 24 years old with seven NBA
seasons under his belt. He has averaged a double-double in
points and rebounds twice in the last five seasons, including
last season when he averaged career highs in both categories,
with 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. It was also his
healthiest season in six years, as he missed just six games.
He had not played as full a season since his second year in
the league, when he appeared in all 82 games.
其實在他來到費城以後，我們對他的探討與分析已經驚人的充足了，我
們都知道他今年合約年，二十四歲，七年的經驗，過去五年至少得分蘭
板上雙兩次，去年打出生涯年，場均18.7分11.8籃板。但是更重要的是，

Bynum played his first seven seasons in the shadow of Kobe
Bryant, and when Pau Gasol became a Laker five years ago, it
reduced Bynum from second to third fiddle. The Sixers intend
to make him their first offensive option. On defense, they
will look for him to catapult them into one of the best
rebounding teams in the league, which should also help a team
with a tendency to get out on the break.
Bynum在洛杉磯的時期大部分時間都處於Kobe跟Pau後面的第三順位。毫

2. Can Evan Turner have a breakout season that fulfills the
expectations that came with being the second-overall pick in
the 2010 draft?
◆ 小壞蛋能不能真正的破繭而出，並且真正展現出當初大家對於榜眼
的高度期待呢？
By numerous accounts, Turner was the most committed Sixer this
offseason. Just as Bynum had to operate in the shadow of
Bryant in Los Angeles, Turner had to find ways to coexist with
Andre Iguodala, a player who was more experienced and athletic
than Turner and certainly possessed a similar skill set. With
Iguodala now residing in Denver, Turner will have the ball in
his hands far more than we have seen the last two years.
在很多的跡象當中顯示，Turner是這個暑假中，七六人陣中企圖心最堅
定的球員。就如同Drew在天使城一直被壟罩在Kobe的陰影下一般，小壞

Turner is capable of averaging double-figure points. Last
season, he scored in double digits 28 times -- 17 of those
performances came after the All-Star break when his playing
time increased and he eventually became a starer.
Turner絕對有每天晚上拿下兩位數得分的實力。上個球季他一共得分上
雙28次，17次是在明星賽後他終於得到他所應得的先發位置，上場時間
與授權也都有所提昇之後。
He tends to take chances, which can lead to turnovers --
something that will not sit well with his head coach. Turner
also needs to work on his mid-range jumper and leave the
three-point shooting to his teammates. In two seasons, he is
25 of 93 (26.8 percent) from long range.
如果他希望能好好把握這個機會，他必須要能控制失誤，尤其Doug很難
忍受球員出現糟糕的失誤，並且會讓他在板凳上坐不住。另外他還需要

3. Can Jrue Holiday be the point guard we've seen in each of
the past two postseasons?
◆ Jrue究竟能不能成為我們在過去兩年季後賽中看到那個見神殺神的
的小精靈呢？
Holiday led the Sixers in scoring through 13 playoff games
last spring, averaging 15.8 points to go with 5.2 assists and
4.7 rebounds. He shot 41 percent from three-point range during
the playoffs after shooting 52 percent from three the year
prior in a five-game series against Miami. Holiday’s playoff
numbers suggest that he is a rise-to-the-occasion kind of
player.
Jrue在去年的季後賽中是七六人的得分王，他在總共十三場季後賽當中

With Bynum in the low post and shooters like Dorell Wright,
Nick Young and Jason Richardson on the floor, expect Holiday’s
assist total to climb, while his scoring may take a slight
dip.

Rather than shooting from the perimeter, Holiday will need to
find ways to get to the foul line. He attempted 120 free
throws in last year’s regular season. Compare that total with
his backup point guard, Lou Williams, who attempted 292.
Williams, of course, is now a member of the Atlanta Hawks.
除了倚靠在外圍的射術，他還需要找到能順利上罰球線的法寶。去年他

4. Will Spencer Hawes be the Sixers' starting power forward,
and is he better suited to play the four spot?

Spencer Hawes signed a two-year contract this offseason to
return the Sixers. He's spent the previous two seasons as the
team's starting center.
過去兩年，耗子在七六人打全職中鋒的進步幅度讓他受到肯定，與七六
人簽下了為期兩年的新約。
That said, the seven-footer prefers to play facing the basket,
has a soft touch from 15 feet and is an excellent passer.
Before the acquisition of Bynum, Doug Collins was already
contemplating starting Kwame Brown at center and Hawes at
power forward.
他有著很不錯的面框手感，在十五呎的投籃準星跟絕佳的傳球技巧與視
野讓他成為了主戰高中鋒。在七六人正式透過交易引進Drew之前，Doug

But things have changed, as Bynum is obviously the starting
center. Hawes will now look to drag the opposition’s four
away from the basket, although he'll be challenged to guard
some of the position's quicker players.

位，但是在Drew一定是先發五號的情況下，打四號變成不得不然。他現

The power forward starting job opened up when the team
amnestied Elton Brand over the summer. Last year, Brand
averaged 11 points and 7.2 rebounds, while Hawes averaged 9.6
and 7.3.
另外，Elton Brand離隊之後的四號位置，到目前為止都仍然是開放競
爭當中。上個球季，EB在四號位繳出11p-7.2r的成績，耗子則是9.6p-
7.3r。
Hawes doesn’t need to be different than he was last season,
he just needs to produce from one position over.
說實在，耗子跟上個球季比起來，並不需要做出太大的改變；他只要把
他該作到的事情做完，並且在防守端認真努力就夠了。

5. How will the Sixers maintain their defensive presence
without Andre Iguodala?
◆ 七六人該如何在失去AI9的情況下重組他們的團隊防守強度？
The Sixers were one of the best defensive teams in NBA last
year. They allowed the third-fewest points in the league
behind Chicago and Boston. They had the third-lowest opponent
field goal percentage and sixth-lowest opponent three-point
percentage.
七六人去年晉身了聯盟一級防守強隊之林。他們在場均失分上是排在聯
盟第三，僅次於芝加哥與波士頓；除此之外他們還把對手的命中率限縮
在聯盟第三、三分線外的命中率限縮在聯盟第六。
Of course, it helped having Andre Iguodala guard the opposition
’s best player every night.
當然，能夠作到這些的重要關鍵，就是AI9每天晚上追著對手的最佳球
員不斷騷擾，我們才有機會辦到這一切。
This season, the Sixers will not have an individual capable of
Iguodala's defense, but associate head coach Michael Curry has
done a tremendous job teaching his defensive principles the
past two seasons. The execution of those schemes become all
the more important as the team transitions into the
post-Iguodala era.
這個球季，七六人還找不到人選完全彌補上Iguodala離隊後的戰力空缺，
不過助理教練Michael Curry過去兩個球季在防守端上的調整與組織也
是有目共睹的。而在後AI9時期，七六人要能維持防守端的能量，唯一
的機會就是Curry能夠找出方法維持防守端的執行力。
On the plus side, for the first time since Samuel Dalembert
left town, the Sixers have a shot blocker. Bynum was sixth in
the NBA last season averaging 1.93 blocks per game.
不過從好的另外一面看，在Sammy離隊之後，這個球季是七六人第一次
擁有聯盟第一流的大掃把。Drew去年是阻攻榜上的第六名，一場比賽能
夠送出1.93次的火鍋。
