SEATTLE - Maurice Cheeks does not mince words when he
evaluates his 76ers players. A recent frank conversation
with guard Lou Williams had a positive effect Monday in a
98-90 win over the Seattle SuperSonics at KeyArena.

Williams came off the bench to score 19 points, but it
was the way he scored that was most impressive. He
continually drew fouls and was 12 for 14 from the
free-throw line, including 11 for 12 in the fourth quarter,
when he helped hold off Seattle's late charge.

New York when Williams was leveled by David Lee while

The statistics support Cheeks. Since that game, Williams

finishing plays," said Williams, who also had a career-high

Korver revisited
