PHILADELPHIA - Willie Green insists he is one week away from playing NBA
basketball again.
Willie Green 堅決認為再過一個禮拜，他就能夠回到NBA的球場上。
"I'm getting real anxious," Green said in a telephone conversation from his
native Detroit on Sunday afternoon.

Green, who has been medically cleared to play, was waiting for a call to get an
update from agents Noah Croom and Aaron Goodwin on how negotiations are
progressing with the Sixers.

"I don't think I'll be anywhere but Philly," Green said. "I think they're kind
of waiting for me to be able to actually practice and show them what I can do.

The most likely scenario is for Green to sign a contract with the Sixers for
the remainder of the 2005-06 season. He would still be a restricted free agent
in the offseason, meaning they'd have the right to match any other team's offer.

"We are aggressively working on it," Sixers president Billy King said on
Sunday.

Green, a combination guard, averaged 7.7 points in 57 games, 21 of which were
starts, for the Sixers as a second-year pro last season.

Green underwent arthroscopic surgery Aug. 16 to repair a torn ACL he suffered
in a summer league game in Detroit. He was on the verge of signing a five-year,
$17 million contract with the Sixers when he injured the knee.

鏡手術。那時幾乎要和七六人簽下一紙5年1700萬的合同了。
With that in mind, he said he's been aggressively lifting weights and doing
drills, but not scrimmaging.

"I can't wait," Green said.
