PHILADELPHIA — Chris Webber made it clear after Wednesday night's 101-91 home
loss to the Pistons that he wasn't happy.

Webber said he's tired of unnamed younger teammates not having the necessary
sense of urgency for this time of the NBA season.

Several players addressed the team during Thursday's team meeting/film session
before hopping a train to New York for tonight's game, according to a Sixers
source. The source claimed there wasn't a lot of yelling and screaming.

“We talked about a lot of things,” said coach Maurice Cheeks, who declined to

in the playoffs.”

to interpret the words of Webber, who hasn't talked after the last six
practices.

understand what you're going through now,” Cheeks said. “It's an urgent

respectfully disagreed.

The Sixers (32-38) are still eighth in the Eastern Conference despite having
the worst record in the 15-team East over the last 12 games (2-10). The

him lately.
