Zoo's Views: It's time to appreciate Iguodala

Recently, about a half hour before tipoff at Wells Fargo Center, I was
visiting with a friend in the stands when a fan approached me.  “Zoo,” he
yelled. “Can you guarantee me we’re finally going to trade (Andre) Iguodala.
”
前陣子，我在賽前半小時到球場去找朋友的時候，被一位跑過來搭訕的球迷問了：
「 Zoo, 你可以保證我們會把Iggy交易掉嗎? 」


Even with his 76ers off to their best start since he’s been here, even with
him playing (and shooting) as well as ever, even as his all-around play
epitomizes what this year’s team is about, even as he is named one of the 20
finalists for the United States Olympic team, there remains that refrain—
trade Iguodala.

即便七六人打出Iggy加盟後的最佳開季、即便Iggy繳出了一如既往的高水準演出、
即便他的無所不在就像是年度球隊的強力候選人、即便他入選了奧運20人名單，交
易的聲音還是一直都在。


I think I know why.
我想我知道原因。


Shortly after Allen Iverson was traded in December 2006, fans and club
officials alike looked around for a new star.  By default, it became Andre
Iguodala.  The following year, Iguodala took on the challenge and raised his
scoring to a career high 19.9 points per game.  But the Sixers were a losing
team and Iguodala, certainly no Iverson in terms of dynamism and scoring, was
assailed by the fans.  Once he was signed to a big contract by former general
manager Ed Stefanski, Iguodala was on the hook for good.  His all-around play
got him little love; only a berth on the U.S. Men’s Senior National team
that would win a gold medal in Turkey at the World Championship in 2010.

老AI在06年被交易掉之後，球迷和球團就期待著Iggy能接下棒子成為巨星；接下來的
球季，Iggy場均得分來到生涯新高的19.9，但七六人卻一直是輸球的。似乎沒有了老
AI，球隊就失去了動能和得分。當Iggy和前GM簽下了肥約，檢視他的標準就更高了。
他無所不能，卻不受重視，這些年的光榮時刻似乎只有2010土耳其世錦賽的那面金牌。


Now is the time to appreciate Iguodala for who he truly is: one of the best
all-around players in the game.  And by that, I mean not only a guy who
scores, rebounds and passes, but somebody who can guard nearly anybody on the
floor.  Last Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, Carmelo Anthony needed 24
shots against Iguodala to score 27 points.  That same Carmelo Anthony became
so frustrated by Iguodala’s physical play in that game that the two erupted
in a shouting match on the way to a timeout huddle, most of the trash talking
initiated by Anthony.

現在，是時候該給Iggy應該有的掌聲了。他是最好的全能球員，請注意，不只是得分

Fact is, Iguodala no longer has to think about carrying the scoring load.
 The Sixers have become one of the best offensive teams in the NBA and he’s
third on the team in scoring.  For those who have complained about his
turnovers in the past, his assists to turnover ratio is 2:1, solid for a wing
player in the NBA.  He has the rare capability to take the rebound from one
end, dribble the length of the floor, and either set-up a teammate or finish
himself for a score.  And let me reiterate, his three-point percentage as of
this date is top-25 in the league.

事實是：Iggy不再去想到底需要得多少分，得分下降到球隊第三時，七六人成為聯盟
進攻最好的球隊。過去屢遭抱怨的失誤過多也大幅改善，助攻失誤比來到2:1，以鋒線
球員來說是非常高的水準。

他有罕見的才能，可以自己抓籃板、飛奔推進到前場、助攻給隊友或自己得分。容我
贅述，目前Iggy的三分線的命中率排名聯盟前25。


And his team is winning.
而且他的球隊正在贏球。

→ terrorist38:聯盟最會進攻的大鎖 而且這鎖還是當年體能最勁爆的

→ terrorist38:起來 真的是可惜中的可惜 不過現在這樣反而更合隊形

推 willyt:而且他沒有傳得比較少....XD
推 iAnavel:Lou以前最被病詬的無腦今年完全沒看到了啊!!!
推 willyt:其實去年他的失誤率就已經爆炸低了，
推 willyt:或者該說：To%跟PER他每年都在進步，很噁心
推 willyt:如果單論進階數據，他是個比Jason Terry更值得被選為
推 willyt:最佳第六人的球員
推 willyt:更可怕的是他根本還沒26歲
推 willyt:但是卻已經打第七年NBA了
