The Sixers stand on a 2-2 record for the season and have been somewhat
inconsistent when it comes to some of the players performances. The only
player who has been the standout performer has been Spencer Hawes. Through 4
games this season, he averages a double-double and has immensely improved
himself, statistically, from his career averages. Hawes has been noticeably
involved in about every single successful play that the Sixers were able to
execute. Whether it’s a crucial rebound for a second-chance point, a
good-looking pass that resulted in points, or just simply scoring in the
paint or mid-ranged, Spencer has always seemed to be there and helping out
with the cause.
本季開打至今，七六人2勝2敗的戰績，背後是很多球員不穩定的表現。唯獨神耗--
一路走來始終出色！四場比賽下來，平均兩雙的數據，比他的生涯平均高了不少，
可說七六人每一個成功的play，都有耗子的參與。不論是關鍵籃板造成的二波攻勢
，還是妙傳助攻得分，甚或禁區和中距離取分，耗子都沒有缺席，只有拼第一！



This is why I would like to propose a highly evidence-supported theory that
would be called “The Spencer Hawes Principle.” This theory shall state that
the Sixers revolve around Hawes and if he were absent the Sixers shall
therefore suffer a major struggle offensively and defensively…
因此，我在此提出一項有充分證據支持的理論，叫"神耗定理"，就是耗子是七六人
的中流砥柱，如果他不在場，七六人在攻守兩端將陷入巨大的劣勢...



The Sixers have a solid back court with Jrue Holiday, Lou Williams, Jodie
Meeks, and Evan Turner. What the Sixers needed was a solid big man that can
complete the whole collection. This year, Spencer Hawes decided to step up
his game and fill in that role as the big man. Not only has Spencer improved
his game over the off season, but he also became a foundation for the Sixers
to build off of this year, at least he has been playing like it.
七六人的後場人才濟濟，有假日、小威、米克斯和小壞壞。但當然，前場還需要大
個子，才能湊滿五門齊。今年，神耗挺身而出，扛下禁區長人的重任。他不只在休
賽期提升了自己的技術，還成為本季七六人的戰術核心...或至少，他的表現有如
隊上的扛霸子。



What Hawes can bring to the table is reliable points, a fantastic rebounding
track record, and solid defense down low. He averages 12.0 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 4.0
APG, and 1.8 BPG this season. You can see how staggering his stats are and
what kind of performance he has been having all-around this season. At a
helpful 7′ 1〃 245 lb body frame, this young man has the size and the skill
to be able to lead this Sixers team far.
神耗能給你穩定的得分進帳，優異的籃板數字，還有紮實的禁區防守。平均12.0分
、12.5板、4助攻、1.8阻攻，是本季至今令人咋舌的成績單，而且表現相當全面。
7呎1吋、245磅的身材，讓這位兼具體型和技術的年輕人，成為隊上統計數據的王
者。



Elton Brand has been having a huge down-season so far, averaging only 8.3 PPG
and shooting under .500. Brand has been a huge factor last season and hasn’t
seemed to show up during games at all this season. Luckily, the Sixers were
saved by the huge improvement that Hawes has been having this season as he
has been trying his hardest to try and take the lead of this team. Spencer
didn’t completely fill in the hole that Brand has been exposing, but he
covered it up enough so Brand can recover and get back into the game.
本季目前為止，名牌的表現遠不如預期，每場僅拿8.3分，命中率不到5成。上一季
不可或缺的他，今年在場上猶如失魂落魄的野鬼。幸好，耗子卯足了勁向球隊領袖
邁進，他的長足進步，拯救了七六人。耗子雖然無法完全彌補名牌的漏洞，但他的
作用，卻給名牌一個喘息再出發的機會。



The inconsistency of many Sixers stars is what handed the Sixers the two
close and tough losses against Portland and Utah, but Spencer Hawes was who
was keeping his team alive and at least contending for the win. In other
cases, he flourished the Sixers two wins into blowouts that impressed coach,
Doug Collins. Hawes has been playing this season with a full heart and hustle
despite his teammates mediocre performances. If Hawes can keep his
performance at this level for the whole season, his teammates could possibly
use Hawes as an example of play and step up their game too to get their
pieces back together. Hawes’ number on his back would be certainly
misleading for many people around the world. He is certainly not a zero.. he
is a hero of Philadelphia.
許多七六人球員不穩定的表現，導致波特蘭和猶他的兩場惜敗，但有了神耗，這支
隊伍至少都看得到勝利的契機。另外兩場比賽，也因為他，把七六人的領先，擴大
成壓倒性的大勝，也使教練Collins印象深刻。儘管隊友表現平平，神耗全力拼戰
的態度始終沒有動搖。如果他能把這樣的表現維持一整季，他可能會成為隊友追隨
的榜樣，讓他們也拉高自己的競爭水準，打出應有的表現。雖然神耗的背號是兩個
巨大的"0"，全世界的觀眾不該誤解他，他絕不是零鴨蛋，他是費城的大鼠王。
