Any position is contract-based, with fees negotiated for each task
beforehand, based on scope and application specifications. This is not a
full- or part-time position, no benefits. Although, these are possibilities
for the future if things work out well.
Application development will be performed in a cloud server environment, with
all development tools provided by the AIMS Team as needed. Contractor will
use their own equipment (laptop/computer) to access the cloud server through
RDP.
Contractor must be proficient in the English language and work independent
based on a series of instructions. Communications will be mostly conducted
using online tools such as Skype, if contractor is located remotely.
The position is preferably full-stack; from database development, to
server-side scripting, to UI development (web based).
Coding environment includes the following, and contractor must be proficient
in all or most of these:
ASP.NET (C-Sharp) with Telerik suite of components.
HTML5, JavaScript.
MS Visual Studio.
Mobile application development for Apple products a plus, but not required.
Duties may include but not be limited to:
Web based application development from scratch.
Modifying existing web based applications.
Starting development for mobile applications, initially iOS-based.
Working knowledge of ESRI-based Geographic Information System software a
plus, but not required.
