Costa fined for late withdrawal from Shanghai Open
SHANGHAI, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Former French Open champion Albert Costa was fined $20,000 by the ATP after he withdrew from the Shanghai Open with a back injury, organisers said on Tuesday.
The Spaniard, who was seeded fourth, said he suffered the injury during last weekend's Davis Cup semi-finals against Argentina. He will be replaced in the draw by Polish-born Australian Peter Luczak.
