Tie Preview
This is the third encounter between these two nations with
the series tied at 1:1. Their last two encounters were back
in 1930 and 1956 and it is fair to say that much has changed
since then. It will therefore be fascinating to see which of
the two teams will be victorious in their first encounter in
47 years.
The choice of ground and surface can often be a deciding factor
in a Davis Cup tie and the Spaniards will certainly hope the
slow clay courts of Seville will play to their advantage.
Spain is currently ranked seven places above Belgium in the
ITF Davis Cup Nations Ranking (Spain is fourth and Belgium 11th)
and, with the home advantage, they go into this tie the favourites
on paper. Yet, with Wimbledon semifinalist Malisse as a possible
component of the Belgian armoury, anything could happen.
結論還是anything could happen-.-，不過其實我覺得台面上勝負很明顯。
47年以來沒遇上過，真神奇！看來對戰紀錄沒有任何參考價值 :P
