Moya won four ATP tournaments in 2002 and qualified for the year-end
Tennis Masters Cup.
Monte Carlo, Monaco -- Spain's Carlos Moya has won the inaugural ATP European
Player of The Year Award as voted by the European ATP tournament directors.
The Spaniard, who finished the year at No. 5 in the ATP Champions Race winning
four events in 2002, will receive a Waterford Crystal engraved trophy at his
first ATP event in Europe in 2003.
The ATP European Player of the Year Award is based on diverse criteria such
as the final ATP Champions Race position of the player, attitude towards media
and sponsors, cooperation and support of the European events.

Others call that Marat Safin or someone else deserves the award,
anyways,
Congratulations!
