'Always I do my rituals in the locker room'
1.- Dear Rafa. I am a young amateur tennis, and I must say that every time I
see you, I have more desire to play and to surpass myself. But one thing I
can not avoid in every tournament and are the initial nerves. I would ask
you, what you do few minutes before leaving to the court to calm these nerves
(if it happens to you too), if you take something, you do the same thing, you
pray all that you know... Thank you for all, you're the inspiration to many
people. Thanks and encouragement.
Hello and thank you very much. I have my own "ritual" in the locker room that
I always do. But nervous you always are,of course that depending on the round
and the tournament. I always try to listen music, think about the match and
what I have to do. We are get used than other people logically. My advice is
to think of what to have to do and always try it. If goes well and if not it
will have another chance.
2.-Hello Rafa , congratulations on your victory against Fer. We've seen you
very rare, as a medium gas ... Something was happening to you? Was it because
the weather was plumbous? had you a headache? Why did you call the doctor and
then you have not treated? Thanks and good luck against Nico.
No,I was fine and I was raring to go. No problem. Only I had that little
dizzy which I spoke to the press but that was when we started to play.
3.- Hello Rafa , what do you think about Carla Suarez? she is reaching far in
this tournament, quarter-finals. I would like that two Spaniards will win. Ah
congratulations for your birthday, now you're a man, 22 years. What do you
feel of celebrating it again at Roland Garros?
It seems very good to me for her and it is good for the women's Spanish
tennis. Ojalá and she continues much further forward.
4.- Hello Rafa. Sometimes I discuss with friends and tell them you have room
to serve faster, that you don't do it to improve placement, rates and effect.
However, if you'll serve flatter you surpassed more players of the circuit, I
do not think your muscles bother you because you are elastic, I wait your
answer. A hug.
Thank you very much. I will talk with Toni although if I tell you the truth
we talk a lot about these things ...
5.- Hello Rafa, a former Argentine tennis player Guillermo Vilas once said
that winning a easy match is for the statistics, but leaves nothing for
analysis. Is it true that in the high competition is better win a closed
match that a comfortable one? What conclusions you can obtain after the
triumph before Verdasco? What is talked with the team after an unexpectedly
so easy victory ?
The important thing in tennis is to win at the end. Sometimes you feel better
and other worse. Sometimes you win without playing well and others lose
playing well. Best win, believe me. Of course, if you also play well and you
win you are then with confidence and is better. Thank you very much.
