Amidst the attention of numerous eSports fans, the Starcraft Proleague 11-12
season's opening date has been set. KeSPA released an official statement that
the new season will start on November 26th. Fans, thirsty for the games, are
welcoming this news.

在電子競技粉絲們的關注下，SPL11-12賽季即將要開賽了。Kespa發表了他們新一季的賽

程將要在11月26日開始舉行。對此，渴望著開賽的粉絲們相當得開心。


According to the details in the statement, the 11-12 season will feature
major changes in its format. Notable changes include 4 days per week (from
5), best-of-5 format (from best-of-7), abolishment of ace matches and
winner's league, OGN as sole broadcaster, and revival of the first/second
half leagues.

根據Kespa發表的比賽規章，11-12賽季比起以往，賽制上有很大的改變。首先，一個禮

拜從五天改成四天；再者，從Bo7改成了Bo5，並且刪掉了ACE戰。此外，KOF的賽制也移

除、OGN將是唯一轉播比賽的媒體。最後，賽季將改成一年兩季。


Fans reacted to those changes on communities such as Fomos, PGR21, DCinside
Starcraft Gallery, Twitter, and others. Heated debates are still under way
regarding each of the changes, with some of the most fierce reactions coming
from the topic of ace matches.

在Fomos、PGR21、DCinside Starcraft Gallery、推特以及其他的討論平台上，粉絲們

依然激烈的辯論著賽制改變的好壞。其中，ACE戰的取消倍受關注。


Ace matches were featured as the most intense matches in the day, with each
team's ace players going head-to-head in a high-stake, high-pressure
environment. The abolishment of ace matches were not well-received by the
fans. Majority of the fans are lamented at the fact that the intensity will
never be felt again, while very few are saying that "in the new reality of
best-of-5 formats, having an ace player sweep 2 wins in a single day is not
fair." For all the fans who are used to the old format of best-of-7 with an
ace match if needed, they will have to wait until the situation is played out
before making conclusions.

對於當天的比賽來說，ACE戰無疑是最擁有衝擊力的比賽，因為各隊最強的主將將在這場

高水準、高張力下的比賽一決勝負。取消ACE讓許多粉絲無法接受，最主要是他們感嘆如

此精彩的比賽將不常出現，比賽帶來的刺激感將減少許多。然而也有少部分的人認為，

Bo5之中如果有強力的主將能出戰兩次，這將對其他隊伍造成不公平。Bo7或Bo5、ACE戰

究竟該不該存在，只能等賽季開打之後的戰績再作評論了。


One user from PGR21 wrote, "I deeply regret the changes [regarding ace
matches]but as we witnessed from Flash's injury, the previous format puts
too much burden on the ace player. It's important to increase exposure for
rookies [regarding bo5 vs. bo7 format] but in the long run, the changes could
protect the players' physical conditions. I do agree, however, that the
chances of us viewing epic battles from ace players are now less."

一個在PGR21的使用者寫到「對於ACE戰的更改感到相當的遺憾，但是我們見識到了Flash

的破壞力，這樣使得戰隊的勝負更強調在ACE戰上面了。在Bo5或Bo7方面，增加新人的出

場是很重要的，但長遠來看，減少比賽能保護選手。然而總體上來說，我們能看到史詩

級的比賽機會確實減少了。」


The abolishment of winner's league was also not well-received by the fans.
The glorious title of an 'All-Killer' and the amazing performances of
'Winner's League Specialists' are now things of the past. However, there are
more than a handful fans who felt that that winner's league format did not
allow room for many players to play, and was quite unfair towards Airforce
Ace in particular.

KOF賽制的取消也認粉絲們不太能夠接受。"All-Killer"的榮耀以級選手精采的表現都是

Winner League才擁有的特色。有更多的人認為，SWL會減少其他選手的出場率，此外，

這個賽制對於空軍來說實在太不公平了。


Next topic in the heat is the 4pm scheduling of weekday games. With the
impending closure of MBCGame channel, OnGameNet will have to broadcast all
the proleague games. Due to scheduling conflicts, weekday proleague games
were scheduled for 4pm, which being regarded as an impossible time for fans
to either attend live or watch offline.

這個議題則是有關下午三點開賽(台灣時間)。因為MBC的轉型，OGN將被迫轉播所有的SPL

比賽。然而因為OGN節目表的衝突，SPL被迫只能在下午三點開賽，這對於粉絲不管是現

場收看、在TV前收看或是在線上收看，這都是不太可能的。


Adding to the fire is the fact that weekend games on Saturday and Sunday are
scheduled as double-headers (2 games per day). Fans were already complaining
about the difficulty of keeping up with all the games. Complaints crying out
"how are we supposed to watch" are prevalent in all the communities. As
opposed to the abolishment of winner's league which produced mixed reactions,
the new schedules have produced only negative reactions.

此外討論的議題還有，週末六日的比賽是接連打兩場。粉絲們抱怨這樣想要收看完全部

的比賽是很困難的。在各大論壇中，最常見到的抱怨則是"我們怎麼看?"。有別於SWL賽

制取消各有支持與反對的聲浪，觀眾們則是完全反對現行的日程表


On the bright side, the revival of first-/second- half leagues were
well-received by the fans. Dividing the year into two separate seasons is
regarded as an advantage when it comes to preserving players' physical
conditions and stamina, as well as keeping higher level of focus into the
league. Nonetheless, there will be no 'grand champion' at the end of the
season, which remains as a bitter spot for many fans.

至於比較讓粉絲們接受的，則是將一年一季的賽季分成兩季。這樣的作法被認為可以保

護選手的身體狀況以及他們的精力，也可以讓他們保持高競爭力。但是，沒有兩個賽季

年終總冠軍還是讓不少的粉絲失望。


Amongst these divided opinions, KeSPA and the 8 teams are preparing for one
of the most anticipated seasons of Starcraft.

雖然在許多方面有意見的分歧，但不管如何，Kespa與八個戰隊已經準備要在新的星海賽

季大放異彩。
