請問啥叫Jeffery's Tube啊!?

好像是緊急用的通道,或是啥?
不知道為何叫這名字?

   Jefferies Tube
   Systems access crawlway aboard Federation starships. Neela Daren
found the fourth intersect of jefferies tube 25 to be the most
acousically perfect spot on the Enterprise-D for playing her musical
instruments. (&quotLessons" [TNG])
   The term &quotJefferies Tube" was a gag among the original ST
production stauff, a referance to Original Series art director Matt
Jefferies. In ST:TNG, hte term has actually been used on film thus
making the name &quotofficial&quot.

                   Ｊ式管當初是為了紀念第一代影集中的設計
            企業號的美工人員所命名的.就跟各種外星儀表都統
            一叫做OKUDA GRAM是一樣的道理.

Jefferies Tubes:
This refers to a system of access tunnels and utilities corridors
that carry much of the various utilities conduits and waveguides.
The Jerferies Tube network covers the entire volume of the ship,
providing access to utilities trunks and circuitry. Also located
within these tubes are a variety of maintenance and testing points
that allow the performance of various systems to be physically
measured at key points throughout the ship.
所以他們常在那窄窄的"管道"裡爬來爬去的就是那tubes囉?!
