The CS Beta Steam Server were updated two days ago to reflect a bunch of new
changes that have been made to the CS 1.4 Beta, have a look at that nice list:
The instant messaging system, Tracker, is now included in this release.
The first phase of Anti-Cheating is now implemented and integrated into CS 1.4.
A New Counter-Strike map "cs_havana" is included in this release.
The Hostage pathfinding has been improved in Counter-Strike
Major structural overhaul of Steam backend for scalability.
