Kidd, McGrady Named Players of the Week

NEW YORK, April 18 – New Jersey’s Jason Kidd and Houston Rockets’ Tracy
McGrady today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players
of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, April 11 through Sunday,
April 17.

Kidd led the Nets into eighth place in the Eastern Conference with a 2-1 week,
averaging a triple-double of 18.3 points, 12.3 rebounds and 10.0 assists in
games against Indiana, Toronto and Philadelphia. Kidd tallied 16 assists, 11
points and 10 rebounds against Philadelphia on April 17, marking an NBA-high
eight triple-doubles this season and placing him fourth all-time with 67
triple-doubles in his career. Kidd had season highs this week in points (29)
and rebounds (15) against Indiana on April 13.

McGrady led the Rockets to a perfect 3-0 week against playoff-bound Seattle,
Memphis and Denver. He averaged a conference-high 31.0 points on 48.4% shooting,
7.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists and two blocks per game. McGrady scored 38 points at
Seattle on April 11 and 32 points against Denver on April 16, as Houston
improved to 22-3 when he scores 30 or more points this season.

Here is a closer look at the week for Kidd and McGrady:

Jason Kidd, New Jersey Nets
April 13 at Indiana: Recorded season-highs in points (29) and rebounds (15),
                     while adding six assists and two steals in a 90-86 loss
                     to the Pacers.
April 15 at Toronto: Had 15 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and three steals
                     in a 101-90 win over the Raptors.
April 17 vs. Philadelphia: Had a triple-double of 16 assists, 11 points and 10
                     rebounds, while adding four steals in a 104-83 win over
                     the Sixers.

Tracy McGrady, Houston Rockets
April 11 at Seattle: Had a game-high 38 points on 14-of-26 shooting, while
                     adding 11 rebounds and four assists in a 90-78 road win
                     over the SuperSonics.
April 13 vs. Memphis: Scored 23 points, while having eight rebounds, eight
                     assists and three blocks in a 100-92 defeat of the Grizzlies.
April 16 vs. Denver: Tallied a game-high 32 points, shooting 6-of-7 from three-
                     point range, eight assists and three blocks in a 115-87
                     win over the Nuggets.

Other nominees for Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were
Boston’s Paul Pierce, Denver’s Andre Miller, Detroit’s Ben Wallace,
Miami’s Dwyane Wade, Philadelphia’s Allen Iverson, Phoenix’s Joe Johnson
and Amare Stoudemire and Washington’s Antawn Jamison.

    4月12-17日期間的NBA單週最佳球員名單今日(19日)正式出爐，分別由籃

網指揮塔Jason Kidd及火箭主推進器Tracy McGrady同時獲得這份榮耀。


     Kidd在個禮拜繳出平均18.3分、12.3籃板及10助攻的「單週大三元」成

績，籃網也在他的加持下打出2勝1負的成績。尤其是昨日面對76人一役，Kidd

以11分、10籃板、16助攻的個人生涯第67次「大三元」表現率領籃網制服76人

，籃網更因此擠進東區八強行列。

    火箭上週相繼撂倒超音速、快艇及金塊，取得單週三戰全勝的佳績，而

McGrady平均每戰31分、7籃板、6.7助攻及2阻攻的猛烈炮火，當然是火箭一

路過關斬將的重要支援。
