過去完成式的用法是 從過去的某一點A開始持續到過去的另一點B(非現在)
假設現在是C點的話 時間軸的推移是A到B到C
而因為for the past several months已提示是從[現在]開始往後數持續好幾個月
所以只能用跟現在完成式有關的文法
舉個例子來說
如果是
Until yesterday, I had gathered data for the past several months.
表示從yesterday開始 往後數已經持續了好幾個月了
這樣的句子就沒問題
