[題目]填空及改錯

拜託大家幫忙解惑，感激！

答案是B，請問為何D不行？

2.Our CEO is very ______ with Japan's new information technology.
  (A)impressive
  (B)impress
  (C)impressed
  (D)pressing

答案是C，請問為何A不行？

3.Even though Steven had been doing a good job, the company ______
  afford to pay his salary.
  (A)wouldn't
  (B)couldn't
  (C)shouldn't
  (D)may not

答案是B，請問D為何不行？就語意來說也通順呀！

4.(In many countries), it is (illegal) not (to wear) a seatbelt when
  (traveling on) a motor car.
  (A)In many countries
  (B)illegal
  (C)to wear
  (D)traveling on

答案是D，詳解寫說因為"when traveling..."是關係子句，
但這個關係子句沒有動詞，所以要補上動詞。
可是我不太同意詳解耶，
因為子句不是可以省略主詞，再把動詞改成動名詞嗎？
像這句：
"John got engaged to her when travelling last winter."
不知道是不是我哪裡沒注意到呢？

→ paleblue:最後一題 我覺得是沒有主詞的關係 你舉的例子是前後主詞
→ paleblue:一致 可是題目的前面是虛主詞 只不繫安全帶這件事 可是

→ miiitiiiGG:grandeur,or importance. 但下面的例句舉出的是如建築
