[討論] 有關half的用法

最近在做題目的時候遇到了幾個問題  結果弄得我霧煞煞

有關half的用法

到底是two and half an hour 還是two and a half hours

還有a piece of, an item of, a box of那些東西的用法

後面是要接複數動詞還是單數動詞阿?

例如:a flock of birds是is 還是are?

是要看flock還是看birds?

我只知道(a number of + 複數動詞) 和(the number of +單數動詞) 的用法是固定的

其他的不知道該從何下手阿～～～～～

還有為什麼有一題

the sum and substance of the matter has to be seriously considered.

他是用has不是用have呢？

我的問題好多哦
