如果是B 要寫成 she was promoted to senior sales manager.
所以就是C了
意思因該是是你說的沒錯

大家太注重那個分號了
分號的作用在可以取代and等對等連接詞 將2個獨立的子句結合成1個句子
而使用however/moreover/whereas等連結副詞連接2個獨立子句時 也會用到分號
這一句是說~~
從那家銀行開始營運以來 已經借出280億美元--到這邊是以"金額"來衡量
此外它的會員廣及16個國家--這是以"市場"來衡量
所以本句不選nevertheless 因為它是以另一個角度做更多的說明

為什麼不能用moreover呢？
是因為用分號的關係嘛？

這句話是說 那個合約為期一年 但是有選擇方案可以再延兩年多
我覺得用中文也是"但是"會比"此外"通順...anyway~
moreover是針對提過的事物 再加入補充的資料
或是說讓一件事好還要更好 或是壞還要更壞
however的話 比較是一好一壞 一個比較吸引人一個比較平淡...
這一題合約本來只有一年(沒有那麼吸引人) 但是可以再延(不過我們有補救方案)
所以用however~~
那個only如果省略就沒那麼傳神...其他像是even/just的使用亦是
你可以把一堆句子擺在一起去感覺它們的差異
HOWEVER
1.Cotton production was on the increase. However, it was still a small industry
(增加) (相較之下還是很小)
compared to hemp and canvas production.
2.This is a cheap and simple process. However there are dangers.
(便宜&簡單) (危險)
MOREOVER
1.The rent is reasonable and, moreover, the location is perfect.
(價格合理) (地點又好)
2.The drug has powerful side effects. Moreover, it can be addictive.
(強力副作用) (成癮性)
