莎士比亞的十四行詩
這是莎士比亞的第116首十四行詩 : <我絕不承認真心的結合>
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediment. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
Oh, No! It is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me provide,
I never write, nor no man ever loved.

到了十六世紀末達到極盛時期.

和諧, 而且意象新穎, 意境深邃, 表現出詩人語言的高超藝術技巧和社會的
深刻洞察力.
