STOCKHOLM, Jan. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- The storms that hit northern Europe in
early January have brought a great loss to Sweden's forestry, local media
reported Monday.
The forestry's economic loss directly resulting from the stormshas been
estimated at 1 billion Swedish krona (145.9 million US dollars) as it
destroyed at least 75 million cubic meters of trees.
Several Swedish lumber companies were busy with transporting the dead
trees to lumber mills, but their transportation capacity could only achieve
half the task by summer, which means timbers ofseveral hundred thousand cubic
meters will be invaded by insects and lost their commercial values.
A storm with hurricane-strength winds swept across northern Europe on
Jan. 8 and Jan. 9, causing flooding and forcing hundredsof thousands to live
without electricity. Some meteorologists saidthe storm was one of the worst
that have hit the Scandinavia Peninsula in years.
In Sweden, the storm left 11 people dead and 400,000 Swedes without

我本來也在想，這個季節，這種緯度…
颶風侵襲？？
那聽起來真是像極了「明天過後」啊。XD
其實我也有去網路上找，不過中文網頁除了這一篇，其它都是簡體。
而且這一則新聞也是新華社出來的。
