Haas pulls out of Wimbledon tuneup

DUESSELDORF, Germany (AP) -- Former Top 10 player Tommy Haas again
delayed his comeback from a shoulder operation, pulling out of a Wim-
bledon tuneup on Wednesday.

The German had once planned to play the clay-court season, which ends
with the French Open. But he said his right shoulder wasn't ready after
tendon surgery in December.

The Gerry Weber Open, a major grass-court tuneup, starts Monday.

``I'm training regularly, but I'm not 100 percent healthy,'' said Haas,
a former AUS. Open semifinalist. ``The serve is especially important on
grass and I still have problems with it.''
