What a feeling …

Following years of minor and major disappointments, it felt great to get the
35th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament off to an almost flawless start. All
the more so because we have one of the strongest draws ever.

經過多年大大小小的失望，鹿特丹公開賽有個完美的開始讓我感覺棒極了。更重要的是

With only three cancellations, we’ve also set a new record - never before in
our 35-year history have so many entrants actually been present on the
opening day.

只有3人退賽，這也創下了新紀錄。首天賽事參加者是35年來的新多


While I warmly welcome every player in the draw, I am particularly delighted
to see Rafael Nadal here in Rotterdam. The second best player in the world,
who is seeded first, let me know that his attendance would be conditional on
him being able to see Saturday’s football match between Real Madrid and
Betis. With the help and dedication of the manager of the players’ hotel, we
were luckily able to meet Rafael’s request. In many ways, this is a good
example of how we – as tournament organisers – try to make life as
enjoyable as possible for the players while they are here. After all, if they
feel good, they are more likely to play good tennis – which is what the ABN
AMRO WTT is all about. Unfortunately Real Madrid lost – a result that I, in
my capacity of Tournament Director, was unable to influence.


我真心歡迎每一位選手來參賽，特別是納豆的參賽最令我開心。世界排名第二，大會的頭

號種子，納豆跟我說他想看禮拜六皇馬和貝帝斯的比賽。在飯店經理的協助下，我們很幸

運地能達到納豆的要求。這是我們大會很好的經驗，如何讓選手舒服地在這裡比賽。畢竟

，他們要是感覺好的話，表現也會比較好，這也是大會的宗旨。很不幸地，皇馬輸了，這

When he first arrived at Ahoy, I gave Rafael a tour of the complex. When we
got to the VIP village, he could barely believe his eyes. His reaction was
really fantastic. In an unguarded moment, Rafael let me know that he’s very
keen on sushi. So don’t be surprised if you bump into him in or near the VIP
village.

納豆一抵達鹿特丹，我就給他a tour of the complex(?)。我們到VIP village時，他幾

乎不敢相信他的眼睛，他的反應真的很棒。無意間納豆透露他很喜歡吃壽司，所以如果在

VIP village遇到他可別太驚訝嘿~

推 Kirk:應該是帶他繞一下整個賽事所有的場館跟設施
推 Kovalchuk:Nadal來鹿特丹 皇馬兩場都輸 囧
推 Makaay:看來是因為皇馬都輸 讓納豆心情很差 所以就被淘汰了XD
→ Makaay:歐冠先進球結果卻被羅馬逆轉  看來是因為這場週三輸球
→ Makaay:所以導致他隔天就被淘汰出局XDD

推 Makaay:也是先拿第一盤 結果被對手給連拿兩盤 有異曲同工之妙XD

推 Makaay:Moya不是和納豆關係很好 可是他們喜歡的球隊有很大的差異..
→ Makaay:會不會經常吵起來XD
