Injured Agassi Quits Masters

SHANGHAI, China (Reuters) - Andre Agassi (news) pulled out of the
Masters Cup Thursday with a hip injury hours after his Gold Group
loss to Juan Carlos Ferrero left him without any chance of qualifying
for the semi-finals of the year-ender.
Agassi had been due to play already-qualified Swiss Roger Federer in
a final group match Friday but withdrew injured.
"Andre Agassi is very disappointed," tournament director Brad Drewett
said. "He came to the tournament with a hip injury that he sustained
in Paris. He aggravated that injury in tonight's match and has been
forced to withdraw from the tournament.
"Fortunately, Australian Open champion Thomas Johansson is available
and will take Andre's place in tomorrow's match."

其實這樣也好…
早早回家去休息準備澳網還比較有機會…
這次的失敗主因，有一大部分是因他先前連趕比賽所造成的…
他畢竟巳經32歲了，
澳網他只要將自己的狀況調整好，奪回的機率相當高，尤其是在慢速硬地上。
四冠且21連勝(02因傷退賽)的開放年代記錄，不見得比最老年終球王差…
又可將他的大滿貫數向前推進到8
