Rusedski injury woes continue
Greg Rusedski's return to action has been delayed by a back injury.
The 30-year-old picked up the problem during Great Britain's Davis Cup defeat to Morocco and has not played since.
He pulled out of a tournament in Metz last week and this week's event in Lyon.
And his agent told the BBC Sport website he had yet to confirm his participation in the Madrid Masters, which begins on Monday.
There are only two weeks of tournament play following Madrid before the season ends.
After his agonising defeat to Hicham Arazi in the deciding singles match against Morocco, Rusedski admitted he was considering his long-term future.
"I don't know how much tennis I have left in me," he said.
"If I step on court I want to make sure I play good tennis.
"If you are not going to give 100% then don't bother showing up. That's going to be my attitude from now on."
Rusedski has seen his world ranking drop to 111th this year.
He was given an injury-protected ranking of 37th after he spent nine months on the sidelines following foot surgery in September last year.
However, Rusedski will only be able to use that ranking until February 2004 when he may face the prospect of having to qualify for ATP tournaments and even Grand Slam events.
