Federer unsure of Paris Masters participation Fri 24 October, 2003 20:06 BST BASEL, Switzerland, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Roger Federer says he could be forced to pull out of next week's Paris Masters because of a back injury. Switzerland's Federer suffered the injury on Thursday before his second round defeat to Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic in the Swiss Indoors in his home town Basel. The Wimbledon champion had treatment on his back on Friday and will continue with specialist advice on Saturday in a bid to be fit for the Paris tournament, which starts on Monday. "My spine was totally blocked yesterday," Federer said on Friday. "It happened during the day and I didn't believe it would be that bad. "Today it felt the same. I've been seeing my physiotherapist Caius Schmid and I will see him again tomorrow. Hopefully I can play in Paris but we will have to wait and see." Federer has already qualified to play in the season-ending Tennis Masters Cup in Houston. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 203.219.101.22
