Tired Moya complains of illness

World No 6 Carlos Moya, who arrived in Thailand yesterday with his
father, mother and his sister, complained of illness after his flight
touched down in Bangkok.
The Spaniard said he was not feeling well after the 14-hour journey
from Spain where he had been playing in the Davis Cup at the weekend.
The Spanish team beat Argentina in the World Group semi-finals to
reach the Davis Cup final against Australia in November.
``I was not feeling well when I was on the aircraft,'' said Moya.
``So I must see the doctor before my first match.''
The chairman of the Thailand Open Organising committee, Chaipak
Siriwat, said: ``I have called the doctor to check Moya already.
``He told me that Moya is tired because of going on a long journey
with a slight fever.
``However, the doctor has given him some tablets and told him to
rest so I don't think there will be any problem for his first match.''
Moya is due to meet little-known Czech Petr Luxa in his opening match
this evening.
