Spain call on Lopez
Spain have called up Feliciano Lopez for the Davis Cup final against Australia.
With the match taking place on grass in Melbourne, the 22-year-old was selected in place of clay-court specialist Albert Costa.
Juan Carlos Ferrero, Carlos Moya and Alex Corretja make up the rest of the four-man squad.
The big-serving Lopez recently reached the quarter-finals of the Madrid Masters, beating Moya on the way.
He has twice made the fourth round at Wimbledon.
With Costa absent, Spain captain Jordi Arrese will now have to select a new doubles team for the final, which begins on 28 November.
With Moya and Ferrero both ranked in the top 10 in singles, it seem likely that Lopez will be asked to partner Corretja.
