Winner of two ATP awards in 2002, Srichaphan was presented with two Waterford Crystal trophies at the NASDAQ-100 Open on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. Before the start of the fourth match on Stadium Court Tuesday at the NASDAQ- 100 Open, the ATP honored Thai star Paradorn Srichaphan with two year-end ATP Awards presented by Waterford Crystal. Srichaphan was honored by his peers who selected him for the 2002 ATP Most Improved Player Award and the 2002 Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award. The awards were voted on by the players at the 2003 Australian Open and announced the following week by the ATP. "It is always a real honor to win an award," said Srichaphan. "But it's even more special to win these awards because they are voted on by the players. I had a special year in 2002 and I want to thank the players for the recognition."
