Henman, currently seventh in the ATP rankings, said on his website he had been suffering since returning from last month's Australian Open when he lost in the third round to Russia's Nikolay Davydenko. "My back didn't react particularly well to my matches in Australia or the fligh t home, and it's been problematic ever since," he said. "Recently it's been really stiff and I haven't been able to train or practice p roperly, which has been really frustrating." The Briton suffered back problems for most of 2004, especially at the U.S. Open when he lost in the semi-finals. Local favourite Sebastien Grosjean also pulled out with a torn thigh muscle, an injury he sustained in Melbourne. Henman's compatriot Greg Rusedski and Czech Thomas Berdych are taking their pla ces in the final draw. Argentine Guillermo Coria will be top seed in the 600,000 dollars Marseille Ope n starting Monday. c Reuters 2005. All Rights Reserved. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.245.255.212
