Stepanek sends Safin crashing out
Marat Safin was sent tumbling out of the Kremlin Cup in the second round after
falling to unseeded Radek Stepanek in three sets.
Stepanek triumphed 7-6 (10-8) 4-6 6-3 after an assured performance against the
world number eight.
Meanwhile, eighth seed Nikolay Davydenko had too much for opponent Sargis
Sargsian as he cruised to a 6-2 6-4 victory.
And second seed Joachim Johansson of Sweden beat Cyril Saulnier 6-2 6-4.
