Swimming with Dolphins
ATP stars Guillermo Coria, Rafael Nadal and Rainer Schuettler joined WTA player
Elena Likhovtseva on Tuesday for a visit to the popular Miami Seaquarium, just
minutes away from Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne. After going
through a 30 minute safety course, the players put on wet suits and hopped in
the water with the dolphins, swimming alongside the mammal, watching them
perform tricks and learning about the animals.
The Seaquarium has been a popular place for the tennis pros to visit during the
Miami event in the past. Last year Roger Federer, David Nalbandian, Iva Majoli
and Anastasia Myskina swam in the large pool after receiving brief
instructions and science lessons from the dolphin trainers.
