DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Joachim Johansson will miss Sweden's Davis Cup match against the United States next week because of a strained shoulder.
Johansson was expected to play doubles with Jonas Bjorkman. They teamed for a win in Sweden's first-round victory over Australia in February.
Johansson will likely be replaced in doubles by Thomas Johansson. Thomas Enqvist is expected to play singles with either Bjorkman or Robin Soderling.
Joachim Johansson, 10-4 in singles this year, lost in the first round of the Nasdaq-100 Open. He underwent an MRI and is expected to be sidelined several weeks with a strained shoulder.
Matchups between the Swedish and U.S. teams will be determined Thursday, with the second-round match beginning Thursday at Delray Beach. Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish will play singles for the Americans, and Bob and Mike Bryan will play doubles.
