Dementieva pulls out of Antwerp event with injury Tue 17 February, 2004 23:28 BRUSSELS, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Elena Dementieva has been forced to pull out of the Antwerp Diamond Games due to a shoulder injury, the Russian third seed said on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Dementieva had been due to play Slovenian Tina Pisnik in the second round. Her place in the tournament will be taken by Swiss lucky loser Myriam Casanova. "It's a shame," the world number 10 told the Diamond Games website. "I was looking forward to playing for the first time in Belgium, but because of this shoulder injury, I would not be able to give my best. "There would be no point my going on court. It's a shame for the tournament and for the fans, but I will do everything I can to be here next year," she said. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 203.219.101.22
