Rafter "comeback" will tease fans, says Hewitt

PERTH, Australia, Jan 4 (Reuters) - Australian tennis fans need not hold their breath for a full-time return to action for Pat Rafter, the country's number two Lleyton Hewitt said on Sunday.
Former U.S. Open champion Rafter has been coaxed out of retirement to play doubles with his friend, Joshua Eagle, at next week's AAPT Championships in Adelaide and the Australian Open at Melbourne Park later this month.
But Hewitt said that his friend Rafter was not planning a serious comeback and that his brief reappearance will merely tease his fans.
"I don't really know why Pat is playing doubles," Hewitt smiled. "It is good in a way I suppose but in another way people will get to see him briefly and then he will just disappear again."
