Last Updated: Tuesday, 16 March, 2004, 10:39 GMT Injury blow for Clijsters Kim Clijsters could be out of action until May, because of a wrist injury she sustained at the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells. The Belgian world number two was initially thought to have bruised bone on her left wrist and tendonitis during her win over Angelika Roesch. But the injury has turned out to be a tear in her tendon. "I am not allowed to move my wrist for 10 days," she said and warned she may face three more weeks out after that. Although Clijsters is right-handed, she plays with a double-fisted backhand, which would make it impossible to play with the injury to her left wrist. It means she could miss Belgium's Fed Cup clash against Croatia in her home town of Bree on 24-25 April. And she was also supposed to play a much publicised 'love match' against her boyfriend Lleyton Hewitt. Clijsters has one of the busiest schedules in tennis. She played over 100 singles matches last year along with some 50 doubles matches. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/tennis/3515544.stm -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 203.219.101.22
