Carlsen Lifts Career Second Trophy
Denmark's Kenneth Carlsen overpowered qualifier Magnus Norman 7-6(8) 6-3
to capture the AIG Japan Open Tennis Championships on Sunday. Tokyo is
the 29-year-old Dane's second career title, following Hong Kong four
years ago.
"For me it's incredible. I won in Hong Kong in 1998. Then I was really
struggling for 19 months with a serious shoulder injury and coming back.
But I haven't been playing well for a couple of months. I've been
playing bad. Then suddenly, everything's come together," the Dane said.
